Sunday Night Television Part 2

The+CW+Orders+More+Scripts+For+CHARMED+Reboot+And+OthersAfter Doctor Who last night, I decided after much thought to watch Charmed. Not just the old Charmed, but the new Charmed. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it because I was a fan of the original. Thinking, how could they reboot it? But, again. So many other shows are being rebooted. Some with new cast or old cast. This one has an all-new cast.

Now that I’ve seen the episode, I can say it’s not exactly a reboot. Yes, there are similar things from the original. But, I think they can make it on their own without copying the original too much. There is the white lighter, three sisters, and book of shadows.

I have to watch the original again and I feel like I should know this because of being a fan of the original. Maybe I was tired, but it looked to be the same house on the outside. Definitely different on the inside.

The powers seem to be similar, except the youngest sister can read minds. The original, the youngest sister had visions. The only other thing I can think of that is similar. Is that one sister is actually a half-sister.

If you are a fan of Game of Thrones and see the demon of the week. I’m sure you’ll think what I’m thinking. He looks very similar to a character from Game of Thrones.

The white lighter, not sure what to think of him yet. There is something about him, I feel like we can’t trust him. But, there is a reason for that. I don’t want to go into that due to spoilers.

I do hope to do spoiler posts eventually, but I’ll warn you when I do.

For Charmed though, I could see me liking it. I just hope it doesn’t get backed up like all my other shows. Hopefully, I won’t be binge watching it over the summer, lol.

Sunday Night Television Part One

Doctor-Who-season-11-spoilers-Jodie-Whittaker-in-her-Doctor-costume-1551894So I meant to post last night after watching both Doctor Who and Charmed, but sleep overtook me.

I also meant to write my thoughts on the new Doctor Who last week, but life got in the way. As of right now, I am really liking the new Doctor. I can’t wait to see where they take her. I liked Peter Capaldi, but now after two episodes of Jodi Whittaker’s Doctor. I might have to move Peter Capaldi down. My bestie might be angry, but if Jodie’s Doctor keeps it up. Matt Smith will be moved down next. I love her outfit. Her screwdriver? Not sure on how I feel about that yet. Maybe, that will grow on me.

Now, last night’s episode.

It was the conclusion to last week’s episode. I don’t want to spoil it for those who might still have to watch the episode from last week. But, it does pick up where it left off with the Doctor and I’m guessing her three new companions. Although, that might change. Anyways, they have to go on a race against time to get off a planet alive and find the Tardis. I don’t think I’m spoiling it on her looking for the Tardis. Even if you didn’t watch the last episode of the last season.

So, she did find the Tardis and it changed for her style. I liked it. Which is funny because if you look at the screwdriver, it looks very similar in some ways and also remember I’m not a huge fan of the screwdriver yet. There was one part I didn’t get where a treat popped out. I guess that will make more sense when the show goes further along. Maybe. Unless I’m also missing something from previous Doctors that involved the Tardis giving out treats.

In regards to the companions. I’m not sure what to say on them yet. None of them have grown on me, but again it’s been only two episodes.

Okay, this is turning into a longer post than what I thought it would be. So, I’ll make this a part one, because I also want to discuss Charmed from last night.
