LitjoyCrate November ’18

LitjoyCrate November ’18

Here is this month’s LitjoyCrate box.

This is the spoiler booklet. Forgot to take a picture of next month’s theme. It’s Fallen Kingdom. I’m already trying to figure out what the book will be.

Another bookmark! Even better? It’s from Ink and Wonder. Love their wood bookmarks. We have Professor Trelawney.

img_3115

Candles are the best. This smells like the woods. Love, love, love.

img_3113

And I love collecting pouches. I like having my choices. This goes along with the book and its Celtic folklore.

img_3114

Every month they put in two playing cards. Sorry, the picture is a little dark. But, it’s Magnus and Alec.

img_3118.jpg

I believe this has to do with the book. I want to say the main character? Another thing I’ve been collecting. Different prints.

img_3116

And we have the book. Can’t wait to read this. Tried to do a video of it. But, again having issues today with video.

I would have to say the bookmark and the pouch were my favorite this month. If you like to check them out, click, here.

Go Scribbler November ’18

Go Scribbler November ’18

When I found this subscription box, I was thrilled. I get plenty of book boxes and can always choose to try some more. But, there are maybe a few writing boxes? Although, this is the only one I’ve seen. If there is one I’m missing. Please let me know.

The first thing you see when you open the box is the Scribbler Writing Exercise. Even after I use them, I like to save them. This way I can use them again. I also find this comes in handy when I hit a block.

img_3096

Next, we have the Writer Magic. It’s a chat with either an editor, agent, etc. I always get great advice when listening. I have yet to ask a question in the chatroom. I have plenty of questions, but always want to make sure I ask the right one.

img_3101

Anything in the world of publishing, I can learn. I’m all for it. As always, looking forward to reading this.

img_3100

Another great thing about the box, the writing passport. World Building is this month. I can’t wait to check it out. Each passport will have advice from the author that is featured in the box.

img_3102

If you are a book reader like me. You can’t help but love bookmarks. Especially, when one is one you can color. Sorry, the video is so big. I tried to adjust it, but yeah. No luck.

img_3099.jpg

I live in Ohio. Ohio can get cold. These hot chocolates will come in handy.

img_3098

Post its and a notepad? Yes, please.

This is for ingramspark.com

img_3108

Fountain Pen. Love these.

img_3097

The autograph and the book. I just had gotten this book at the library.  Looking forward to reading this one. I enjoyed her elemental assassin series. Again, sorry about the size of the video. If you pause. You can read the back.

Overall, love the box! Can’t wait for December’s. If you would like to check out the box, you can click here.

OwlCrate ~ August 2017

Last one for the night, I swear. This month’s theme was Something Wicked This Way Comes. Love the box. I mean who wouldn’t want Edgar Allan Poe socks? Plus, a new copy of Sleepy Hollow.

I’m not sure on this book. Normally, I’ll know the book they put in there. But, this one. I never heard of. I’m pretty sure I haven’t even seen it on any blogs, YouTube videos, etc. Unless, I wasn’t paying attention. That does happen from time to time. Either way, looking forward to reading the book.

I did get excited when I saw the Dark Arts Coffee. Too bad it’s decaf. Oh, who I’m kidding. You’ll know I’ll still try it out.

Yes, there is a pen in the box this month. It’s a fountain pen. Love those! Also, as someone who loves to write. A pen is perfect.

Uppercase Unboxing ~ August 2017

A cute little bracelet.  I might have already worn it.                                                                                                                                                                 IMG_5181

Is it bad that I get excited for things like post its?

IMG_5185

Bookmarks! Never can have too many bookmarks.

IMG_5182

The book. Haven’t heard too much about this one. Looking forward to it.

A description of what was in the box.

Looking forward to reading the book. Sorry the picture on the bracelet wasn’t the best. Took a few shots just to get that one.  Too much of a glare. I like the bookmarks even though I’ve never read The Golden Compass. That series is on my list of many books to read.

Smuggler’s Bounty May 2017

This month was the 40th Anniversary.

We received…

Love the pin of Chewbacca, I’m already planning on using it on of my bags. The patch, I still have yet to do something with the others. I’ll come up with something. The sweat bands will come in handy when it gets colder.

We also have Han Solo and Greedo Salt/Pepper shakers. Don’t have a need for them right now, but I can’t wait to see them.

Last, but not least. We have the Funko, which is Luke Skywalker and Speeder. Love it! I already found a home for it.

Lit Cube July Box

Lit Cube July Box

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Today was a nice relaxing lazy day, which I’m fine with.

So let’s get started on this month’s Lit-Cube box.  I was a little worried because it was a Peter Pan theme. I’m sorry, but since I was a kid, the kid has creeped me out. I did like what was inside this box though.

IMG_3127

First, we have the book. There was also supposed to be a bookplate, but my box was missing that. I’m probably going to email them and see if I can still get one.

Anyways, this one is called The Neverland Wars by Audrey Greathouse.  Despite my issues with Peter Pan. Looking forward to this book. You can find a link to the book at the end of the post.

Not sure what I’ll use the card for, but as I have discovered in the past. It will come in handy sometime in the future.

The sunglasses weren’t listed on the list, but there is a website on the side of them for Lit-Cube. I do like them. I do need more color in my life. I have been told I wear a lot of black.

Next month, is Mermaids.

Here We Go Again

So I decided I needed to go back to subscription boxes. What is about them that makes them so addicting? Could it be all the fun stuff you get? The problem is, there are so many great ones out there. It amazes me how people afford so many of them. I decided to try something. I’m going to get a box or two a month. I’ll do Nerd Block for a couple months or Comic Con Box. It just depends on the theme of the month. For June, I will be getting Lit-Cube and Loot Crate.

Lit-CubeLit-Cube is something new for me. What makes it exciting is that it’s a book subscription box. I’ll have a link for both boxes at the end.  From what I hear about Lit-Cube. You get a book, sometimes a t-shirt, snack, and other things.

For Loot Crate, I decided to do the two month subscription for the Firefly box. I’m Loot Cratedefinitely curious to see what they have for that. I loved Firefly, the TV show. Of course, there is also the movie.

There are so many subscription boxes out there. Do you have a favorite? Keep your eye out for  a post on both boxes when they come next month. Although, I think the Firefly box will be here in July?
